My Morning Glow Routine
They say how you start your morning sets the tone for your entire day. I used to roll out of bed, grab my phone, and immediately feel overwhelmed. Not anymore.
The Old Way
Let me be honest—my mornings used to be chaotic. Snooze button warfare, scrolling through social media while still half asleep, rushing to get ready, skipping breakfast, and leaving the house already stressed.
Sound familiar?
The Shift
It took me a while to realize that mornings don't have to feel like survival mode. Small changes, done consistently, can transform how your entire day unfolds.
My Current Routine
Here's what my mornings look like now:
1. No Phone for the First Hour
This was the hardest change but also the most impactful. I charge my phone in another room and use an actual alarm clock. Revolutionary, I know.
2. Water First
Before coffee, before anything—I drink a full glass of water. Sometimes with lemon, sometimes plain. Your body has been fasting all night and needs hydration.
3. Movement
Not a full workout (though sometimes!). Just 10-15 minutes of stretching or a short walk. It wakes up my body gently and gets me out of my head.
4. Intention Setting
I take 5 minutes to write down three things:
- One thing I'm grateful for
- One thing I want to focus on today
- One way I want to feel
The Results
Since implementing this routine:
- I feel calmer and more centered
- My productivity has increased
- I actually look forward to mornings now
- I'm less reactive to whatever the day throws at me
What does your morning routine look like? Are there changes you've been wanting to make?
Remember: every day is a new chance to glow.
